Stundarómur
The chamber ensemble Stundarómur has been active since 2022 and consists of pianist Ólína Ákadóttir, violist Hafrún Birna Björnsdóttir, composer and euphonium player Daniel Haugen, singer and cellist Steinunn María Þormar, and composer and clarinetist Ester Aasland. In the summer of 2022, Stundarómur went on a concert tour in Iceland and Norway, where works by Jórunn Viðar and Grieg were brought together in new arrangements.
In the summer of 2023, Stundarómur performed the concert Gimbillinn mælti at the Seigla music festival. The program included new works by Daniel Haugen along with other Icelandic songs in new arrangements.
