Ewa Murawska


Flautist



Ewa Murawska is active as a soloist, chamber musician, and professor at the Academy of Music in Poznań. In 2003, she graduated with distinction from the I.J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań. 

In 2005, she completed a two-year postgraduate programme in flute performance in Paris under the guidance of Patrick Gallois, graduating with the Premier Prix. She is a prizewinner of several international music competitions, including Third Prize at the 10th Friedrich Kuhlau International Flute Competition in Uelzen, Germany (2003), and the unanimous First Prize (Premier Prix à l'Unanimité) at the International Chamber Music Competition in Paris (2005). 

In 2006, she was awarded a Doctor of Arts degree. In 2009, she won the 100 Young Creative European Talents competition organised by the European Committee of the Regions in Brussels. Ewa Murawska is the author of numerous articles published in Polish music journals and is regularly invited to perform and give masterclasses both in Poland and internationally. 

She has released six albums, including recordings made in collaboration with flautists Pierre-Yves Artaud and Áshildur Haraldsdóttir. She has performed with the Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra and Sinfonietta Polonia. She directs numerous international projects, including the International Flute Festival in Poznań. She is fluent in four foreign languages.
